Learn about the Adventure
Baseline Grace
For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.
- 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

We take a radical 'Baseline Grace' approach. It is in and through the Divine nurturing relationship that we are able to grow, develop, and increase our capacity for the human experience.Fear and hate are often what people are being pushed around by inside their heads. Maybe it has been your default fuel for navigating uncertainty your whole life. There is a better more empowering way.Shifting to Divine Grace brings brings wholeness and possibility in this moment right now. Instead of having fear as the baseline we practice exchanging it for Grace.Receiving Grace is an invitation to a transformative process of letting go of trying to earn it.It is the release of will power and the burden of doing it alone.Placing your attention and focus on making Christ's Light, Love, and Life your center of gravity will turn the tides, make the impossible possible, and empower you in your adventure. We will help invite and point your to grace again and again.
Capacity / Freedom
"A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for"
- John A Shedd

You wouldn't train for a marathon to get rid of a 'running disorder'. You train to build your capacity to run 26.2 miles. You are not a problem to fix. Our approach mirrors principles of marathon training. We will set values and goals together of where you want to go, and what you want to build more of in your life.We will begin putting a training plan together to work on exposing yourself to more uncertainty while taking steps towards those goals. We will build the base 'low and slow'. In marathon training 80% of the runs are done at a very slow pace. This lower pace allows the body, ligaments, joints, heart, and lungs to acclimate to more mileage. It builds a strong foundation for longer runs later. We will work together on building your base for more mental, emotional, and spiritual uncertainty 'low and slow'. With activities and actions that are doable, accessible, and allow for success to be close. You will learn about what is getting in the way, how to navigate those roadblocks, (intrusive thoughts, feelings, experiences you don't like, limiting beliefs, fear), and how to allow those things to be catalysts for further growth and transformation. We will strategically take on those experiences together. At a base level - meaning these are the same skills you will be building later too - we will be expanding your capacity for concentration: learning how apply your awareness, intention, and attention on the things you value. Increasing your trust in that guiding light of love and more trust in yourself.Just as someone who has never run a marathon before the outset of starting to train for 26.2 miles can feel daunting. It can feel like the mountains ahead of you seem impossible. We will help guide you through your process of embodied mental health one step at a time. As you apply even the smallest portions of faith, you will find your mountains moving. You will have a guide that has gone where you want to go - providing insight, direction, and encouragement on the path. Although your guide cannot do your adventure for you, they will be invaluable in helping you along the way.
Embodiment
"It is a true act of dying to everything we are not for the sake of more fully participating in the risen life of Christ."
- Thomas McConkie, At-One-Ment

The path forward leads to both an upward spiral and inward integration of learning how to expand and open all our faculties to greater Light, Love, and Life.On the path to building better mental health it invites the opportunity to become alive in heart, body, and spirit. It is a waking up, and dusting off from our slumber of fear and limiting beliefs. And opening to wonder and awe at ever increasing levels.A process that invites us to leave old things behind so that all things can become new.An embodiment of the human experience directly connected with the Divine.
Divine Therapy
"You have to accept yourself as you are and God as God is, and trust that He will lead you in a way that may not always feel comfortable, but that is best for you”
- Father Thomas Keating

Father Thomas Keating coined this term 'Divine Therapy'. It is the idea that as we come to accept, surrender, and turn to God's Love & Light for happiness instead of other sources that we undergo a psychological experience where God (the Divine Therapist) helps us excavate and process old emotional programs, false layers of self, limiting beliefs and align us more fully with our true selves and union with Divinity. When it comes to mental health fitness this is the act of cutting out the compulsions we do to try and gain certainty by coping, checking, & controlling; and instead practice trust in God and trust in self.Aiding us in releasing supressed emotions, thoughts, and experiencees that have happened throughout our lives, which removes the clutter so that we can see more clearly and uniting us in a very personal and intimate relationship with the Divine. Aligning us with our most authentic selves.Regardless of your culture, religion, or background that Divine Therapy of Light and Love is available to you in whatever way you feel called to it.The skills and practices that we teach on at Adventum point towards and engage with this Divine Therapy. We will practice cutting out the things you do inside and outside of your head to feed those old emotional programs. As you do so you have more opportunity to open yourself up to the Divine Therapy and ever deepening layers of trust.

I had my first major panic attack when I was 17 just prior to going on a 2 year service opportunity for my church. During that time of service I continued to have debilitating anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts. I would spend all my time in my head trying to fix and solve the disturbing experiences of difficult thoughts and feelings.I later found out that I was interacting with my thoughts and feelings in a way that would be categorized as Obsessive Compulsive. I met with therapists, leaders in my church, and even took medication for a time to try and deal with it.However it wasn’t until I learned about this idea of ‘mental fitness’ that everything started to change. Deep within me I knew there had to be a better way than just managing this experience.I stopped doing behaviors inside and outside of my head in reaction to fear and started proactively practicing my values. Slowly things started to change, but to my great surprise I began to realize that it wasn’t so much about ‘getting over’ my experience but rather being integrated by it. As I peeled back the layers of things I was doing to try and fix and solve I can only describe what I have found as sacred and holy.Underneath all my struggle to try and fix and solve was infinite love and grace. Which invited me to want to go even deeper and explore these new depths of being. It has become a practice of full integration of mind, body, and heart.I am passionate about navigating our minds, hearts, and bodies in this modern world in a way that will empower us to give authentically and connect deeply.Currently based out of American Fork, Utah I help facilitate and guide individuals and groups on how to build, apply, and cultivate the capacities for using their mental health as a doorway for transformation and freedom.
My journey into health and natural healing began when I was 9 years old. I was experiencing chronic strep throat and nothing, including antibiotics, would help. Luckily, my Mom listened to her intuition and took our family down a path of true healing.
After changing our diet for only 2 months, my strep went away entirely. I remember thinking, “Wow, eating healthy is awesome!”Fast forward several years and I was 20 years old. I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and told I would probably need a wheelchair eventually. Like my mom, I had a feeling there was something more that I could do. In other words, I was divinely forced to trust God, and find a different way of healing.
Once I found the people and tools to help me, I was 100% better within 6 months. Wowza! I wanted everyone to know what I now knew because I was on cloud 9 and feeling so alive. That experience led me to become a nutritional coach and help others heal by addressing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies combined. At Adventum, I’m passionate about walking alongside individuals as they reconnect with themselves, restore alignment, and step into who they were created to be. I am excited to support the development of holistic wellness initiatives, and create retreats and other experiences that allow people to slow down, heal deeply, and grow in a supportive community to true divine alignment with themselves and God.
A phrase I tell myself daily: “There’s no right time. There’s no wrong time. There’s just your time.” As humans, we often feel like we’re behind or playing catch-up—but the only clock that matters is your own.As a member of the Adventum team, we strive to guide individuals through a mental fitness approach that builds strength, capacity, and endurance—supporting deeper, more meaningful human experiences. I’ve always wrestled with what it truly means to be human. Working through a mental fitness framework has helped me clarify my core values and strengthen my connection to them, giving me tools to approach life with greater awareness and intention. This was no easy task. I stopped seeing myself as a problem to fix and started seeing myself as an adventure to navigate—and it changed everything. In a world focused on diagnoses, I’ve learned that true growth comes from exploring who you are, beyond any label or diagnosis. This understanding is what fuels my passion for helping others develop the mental fitness framework they need to move forward, even in moments of uncertainty or challenge. I believe growth happens when people feel seen, capable, and equipped—and it’s a privilege to walk alongside others on that journey. At Adventum, we combine practical tools, reflective exercises, and human-centered guidance to help individuals develop mental resilience, clarity, and intentionality in their lives.

"Rachel is a deeply integrated healer who has brought her skills and spiritual depth to her Foot-Zonology practice. She is open hearted, Christ centered, and healing from the source. I cannot recommend her and Balanced Well Beings enough.I first started seeing Rachel at Balanced Well Beings in 2021 when I was in the middle of SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) withdrawal. I had started taking the medication earlier on in my mental health journey but had since stopped taking them which left an immense toll on my nervous system and body.Working with Rachel and her team was an important part of that healing journey. I continue to work with them to grow, develop, and integrate my body, heart, and mind. I have found Rachel and Balanced Well Beings to be an immense support on the path to healing and further development."- Zac McCulloch

Overview
"All of you are perfect just the way you are, and you could use a little improvement"
- Suzuki Roshi
Navigating mental health in this modern world has never been more difficult. Something or someone is always pushing or pulling for your attention.Your mind run around like an untrained puppy dog chasing squirrels and digging up intrusive thoughts, finding things in the past to fix, trying to control everything so nothing bad will happen in the future, and generally having a really difficult time concentrating or focusing on the present moment longer than a few seconds.Your feelings seem to betray you. You are fueled by shame, guilt, fear, and condemnation. The urge of the never ending chase to catch up or be somewhere else rather then where you are right now seems to linger around like an unforgettable ghost.Deep down you want to do the things you value and care about, you want to build intimate connections, and you want to live into your purpose. But instead find yourself spending all your time trying to get those things and avoid bad things instead of living them. Thinking that if you can just push harder, perform more, or fix things well enough you will finally 'make it'...Leaving you living in a constant state of anxiety, depression, and suppression with habits and activities to try and cope with the pain. Living in a constant state of distraction and dissonance of alignment you Internalize and perpetuate the narrative that you are a problem to fix, disordered, and broken. Constantly seeking wholeness outside of yourself. But what if that isn't the case? What if you are not a problem to fix? What if you are not disordered and broken? What if you simply haven't built the skills and capacity to engage more fully and completely with the human experience? What if you could learn how to have any thought or feeling and do the things you care about most? What if it is this very path of integration that enables you to connect with, accept, and be nurtured by Divine Light, Love, and Life?
Whether you have found that life has become unscalable the way that you are living it or you simply want to learn how to have more integrated mental health this could be a good place for you.At Adventum we take a skills and fitness based approach to mental health freedom. We also introduce the beginnings of a transformative practice as a doorway to the Divine. On this path we have found that it leads to exploration in the depths of being that we can only describe as Sacred & Holy.We practice the skills for navigating change and learning how to accept and apply Grace. This journey becomes a beautiful adventure of wonder and awe. We engage in this process of applying our intention and attention in ways that produce freedom, deepen our humanity, and connect us with Divinity.Welcome to the Adventure.
What is this?
This is a framework for developing mental, emotional, and spiritual freedom and transformation. It is not a 'quick fix', in fact it isn't a fix at all. Rather it is tools and processes to empower you to align yourself with the Divine and your values. To develop and cultivate real capacity for the human experience. To be integrated by your mental health instead of debilitated by it.Regardless of your belief and faith background, this is not intended to take the place of your personal faith or religious practice - rather it is a guide and framework to support, empower, and be a supplement to whatever that spiritual practice looks like for you in your life.
Is this you?
- You know there has got to be more, you have been feeling called into more, and you have a desire to connect with that inner knowing.
- You are done 'managing' your mental health and are ready to step into using it as a doorway for personal transformation, authenticity, and development.
- You are ready to take ownership of your own mental, emotional, and spiritual journey and are looking for practical skills and steps to take on that Adventure.
- You believe in God, a higher power, ultimate source, or Divinity and want to have that be a part of your practice.
What are you struggling with?
- Do you find yourself spending lots of time on accusing voices in your head?
- Are you constantly trying to get things 'right', solve yourself as a problem to fix
- Are you constantly trying to get away from or escape thoughts and feelings you don't like?
- Do you struggle to focus and trust yourself?
Questions to consider
- Are you open and willing to doing things differently?
- Do you want to heal?
- Are there things you want to build and grow in your life?
- Do you want to build freedom more than you want to chase certainty?
